Firefly/Serenity: I listen to the Slice of SciFi podcast fairly regularly. Michael and Evo actually talk about all kinds of movie, TV and book SciFi news. And they’re pretty amusing. Also, The Signal podcast site is doing little Fantasy Firefly blips this month. Serenity comes out on DVD on the 20th. YOU MUST at the very least RENT OR BUY IT.
Christmas shopping: I have to pick up Casey and Sky this morning to take him down to get on AHCCS (Arizona’s poor people health care thing) so he can finally get something done with his teeth. After that, Sky and I get to go shopping! I wandered around CostCo yesterday but didn’t find any super-good deals. Khols is supposed to have huge sales today and tomorrow. Prolly hit Walmart, too. Joy.
KT: I’m seriously disgusted with KT. They finally banned Scott and/or Prism. That’s it. They just gave him the old license (which I’m clueless as to what that means) and they’ve pretty much closed all discussions about it. So the kid gets off scott-free. I can’t keep myself from going back again (yes, I’m weak) so I’ll just drop it, but I have a sick feeling in my stomach about the whole fiasco.
Because I’m one of those sad people who have little to do each day other than sit on this computer and try to have friends.

That was so much fun! Scott supposedly dumped everything on the first host he found on MSN that wouldn’t chew him a new asshole. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear to BE everything. I dunno if the little shit is still holding out or if he’s seriously too stupid to get all the necessary stuff together.
And still no His Side Of The Story. Figures.
But, it was a lot of furious posting, speed reading and a bit o’ bitch slapping. And I really did take a permanent marker and name my Christmas tree angel AmyB. Cuz she’s just so calm and perfect!

I did a search on NKT for my name because I thought I’d posted to something and couldn’t find it and I came across this thread. Apparently it’s where people first came down on bendenbeauty for her puking out over 900 posts in two weeks.

Yes, it’s annoying. Especially when there’s nothing substantial to the posts. Or they suggest the poster hasn’t read what came before carefully, in such a hurry they are to post again. And “newbie posting frenzies” are hardly an excuse. Proper newbie etiquette is to lurk a bit and get the feeling of a forum before flooding it. It’s irritating to have to wade through a flood of one-liners, often by the same person one after the other, and it’s annoying to have so many new threads interesting ones get bumped down or off the page, especially by stuff like “whose your favorite _________”. Organized quasi-popularity contests like Lady Arwyn’s Weyrleader and Weyrwoman Survivor at least prompted good discussion.
And while I’m venting anyway, bendenbeauty, I know from the fan fiction forum you’re capable of typing and using proper English. Better than a lot of people on-line, anyway. Forum flooding is at least more tolerable when it’s legible. There is a shift key on the keyboard. (Woah, I just channeled damoodymom.)
Bitching? Possibly. But if it seems bitchy, best pray you never draw the attention and ire of GreyBear or Cavatica. In that unholy trinity, I’m by far the meek little kitten.
