Veteran's Day

I’m a veteran. Okay, so I’m not a WAR veteran, but I volunteered. I spent four years in the Air Force. And other than the training time at the beginning, the entire time at the Pentagon. I was assigned to run a remote computer room for those officers working on the Air Force budget.
My Uncle Mick and three of his children were in the Navy. Another cousin just retired from the Air Force. My SIL’s ex-hubby was in the Marines for over 10 years.
My son is in Army now, in basic training. And chances are, he’ll be in Iraq as soon as all of his training is completed.
So even if you don’t personally know anyone who is or has served, take a moment today to honestly honor those who have. It takes a lot of nerve to sign those papers, commit your life to protect and serve. And those who do seldom have any control over where they are told to go and what they are told to do.
First Day at work . . .
Oct 31st
. . . kicked my ass. Started at 11:30 and left at 5:28. My knees hurt, my ankles hurt, I’m starving and I just wanna keel over. But I have to get through Halloween tonight, pick Ginnie up at 9:30 and then I can die.
