Then it became boring and pointless. I personally want to know what the charities do with any money I donate. As much money as some of the charities have received over the years, cancers should have been cured, muscle diseases should be almost non-existent, but they are. I only send money to non-profits that I know my money actually can do someone good. I donate my clothing to groups that I know will appreciate it and can use it.I actually had a friend suggest that No Pants day on the light rail be a charitable event. I thought glad you have the money to donate to all charities you push but don't push it on the events I support.

I understand where you are coming from to a point. That's why you will rarely see me adding things to my avatar or re-tweeting the cause of the day. I always feel like other people are looking at me and thinking, "Way to jump on the bandwagon!" It feels like I'm trying to be in with the cool kids rather than supporting something I truly believe in.

I totally agree with you (for once!)
