I just got elfed.

Hey, I just made a total elf of myself and my BFFs snowcalla and wickedgroovy.
Check this out.
Wow. I want to see this book!

Not work/child safe.
So when you click on this link you’ll see a page of nudes. A really interesting page of nudes from The Full Body Project. I listened to an interview today and the photographer describes his reason for photographing this particular set of models.
In his provocative new book, photographer ?????? captures images of full-bodied women, some of whom are involved in what is known as the “fat acceptance” movement. “The average American woman, weighs 25 percent more than the models selling the clothes. There is a huge industry built up around selling women ways to get their bodies closer to the fantasy ideal. Pills, diets, surgery, workout programs. . . . The message is ‘You don’t look right. If you buy our product, you can get there.’”
You’ll be surprised at who the photographer is, too. Very nicely done.
That was fun /sarcasm

I did manage to get through most of my errands. It has been sprinkling or outright raining ALL DAY. What a lot of fun standing with my ass in the rain getting that child in and out of the car umpteen times. She wasn’t happy, but she really only threw one fit. Poor kid.
Ginnie’s pissed at me because I grounded her. I grounded her last Sunday night because she had that long weekend and never came home to clean up after her stupid dog. I’ve been asking her for weeks to beg/borrow/rent a carpet cleaner because her stupid dog URINATES on the stairs and my apartment STINKS. I’m embarrassed to have people over and it’s just not healthy. I do take him out when she’s gone overnight and various other times but he doesn’t seem to understand NOT to pee all over the stairs. She doesn’t take him out enough. AND those damned mice stink too.
But I’m “ridiculous” because I grounded her and because we had ONE NIGHT without water, I’m supposed to let her off the grounding because she couldn’t clean the carpet last night. She’s pushing my buttons. If that carpet isn’t cleaned by tomorrow night, she’s going to miss horseback riding on Sunday. Her “life dream” to go horseback riding. Where is this drama coming from? She’s never been grounded before so she doesn’t understand the suck-up-to-Mom-and-she’ll-let-you-off-early lesson her brothers learned early. She hasn’t bothered to do ANYTHING so far.
We’ll have to see how this works out.
I'm expecting a BusyMe day today
Nov 30th
As soon as Rene gets here with Kira I’m out the door.
Bank
Breakfast
Drop Ginnie @ school
City of Mesa (water)
SRP (electric)
Realty office to pay rent
Payday loan payment
Altell store next door for payment
Staples next door to that for printer ink
Home between 10-12 for Kira nap and water delivery guy to pick up expensive water.
Cox Cable
Sun Devil Liquor
Pick Ginnie up from school
Take her to work
Grocery shopping
Y’all send good energy this way that my car doesn’t decide today would be a good day to collapse. And let’s all hope I don’t kill this kid today with all the running around and cooped up time. I’ll need to slide some free time for her in there too.
Crap.
Television for children
Nov 29th
This show confuses the heck out of me. You have the 5 characters: Hippo girl, who seems to be the spoiled rotten bossy queen; duh-personality Dinosaur boy, the Blue bird of follow-along Pablo; Moose who has the smallest roles, and the fifth one is some creature (I can’t figure out what it’s supposed to be) who appears to be the real leader.
I can’t stand the Hippo girl. What a fine example of everything you DON’T want your child to act like. And the other kids/animals let her boss them around like she’s a real Princess! Shouldn’t children’s programs show children solutions to life’s crappy situations . . . like bossy, bratty friends?
Good music though. Kira loves the songs and dances along. She’s not really watching these shows yet, but I have them on for background noise and she sometimes picks up on a scene or two.
End of the month blues
Nov 29th
It’s a good thing I took a shower this morning. They shut my water off about an hour ago. S’okay, tomorrow is payday. I’d kinda thought my luck would hold but I guess not. Now let’s all hope the electric company is too busy to come by.
Stupid rental car ended up costing more than I thought and I bounced both utility payments. So I’ve been slammed with fees up the yin-yang. Totally my fault, but still. Alright already! I know! You’ll get your frakking money as soon as I do. Plus fees. So this upcoming month will be tight as hell again. I just can’t seem to get ahead!
I got a letter in the mail yesterday from the VA. First time they’ve ever sent this particular form. I had to fill out and verify a list of my dependents. So now I’m wondering if/how they know about the pending divorce action. They never sent me a form when either of the boys turned 18, they just stopped sending a portion of my check. Hmmph. So anyway, I filled out that I was indeed still married at this time and I still have one child at home but if they sent me another form without the 30-day deadline I would inform them when my divorce was official. And that my daughter has another year before she’s 18 and then another year of school beyond that. I have no intention of cheating anyone.
I’m caught up on all three of my friend’s podcast books:
Mur Lafferty’s Playing for Keeps. Mur’s apparently been hanging out with Scott and JC too much as her story has gotten decidedly savage in this last episode.
Scott Sigler’s Nocturnal. Speaking of savage, Scott’s (Otherwise known as Soupbone) permanent tag line is “Lots and Lots of Violence.” He should get that tattooed on his ass.
And last but certainly not least, J.C. Hutchins’ 7th Son Book Three is winding down. I’m gonna miss those clones.

Little bits of nuttin'
Nov 26th
Caught up on DVR’d shows yesterday and today. Men in Trees, Brothers & Sisters, Grey’s Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Private Practice, Torchwood, Ugly Betty, more Torchwood, one of Ginnie’s Xena episodes, Kid Nation, and Project Runway. I think that’s all of them.
I burnt my hand taking my dinner out of the microwave. The stupid thing is over my head and I dropped the container all over me and the stove top. What a mess. And my hand hurts.
Max called last night to tell me he was cooking dinner. I guess I need to write that down somewhere.
I need a jacket. And black printer ink.
(Noticing Jack reading a part where his wife is played by Leann)
I scheduled my court-ordered 3-hour parenting class for December 5th. Whoopie. Like I need a parenting class now that my baby is 17. Barn door?
(ROUS?)
I just don’t understand Technorati. What exactly is it supposed to do and how do I do it?
And people are talking about Zune software replacing iTunes. iTunes sucks for organizing podcast feeds and my music files but it is available with one-click on a lot of sites. Just because it’s easy to connect to it doesn’t mean its the best. Maybe I’ll try the Zune thing.
I’ve gotten all the A-V books from the DragonPage library onto the Google documents and onto Shelfari. I took last week off, but now I’m back in gear. I should have the project finished in a few more hours. Just finding the hours is the problem. Kira gets into too much stuff in my room so I’m down to her nap time and when she’s not here at night.
Oh well, g’night.
