Another long frakking Saturday

Man, am I tired.
Woke this morning with the baby. Breakfasted, she and me took a shower, snuggled a while and then I dumped her at Casey’s friend’s house.
Stopped by the hospice to see Joe and he was out of it. His Dad says they’ve upped his drugs again so there’s likely no chance he’ll be awake/aware again. Asked his Dad to let Joe know I stopped by if he does.
Then over to Draco Vista, where we ladies gathered to decide on the OhMiBod contest winners and commiserate. Met Mighty Mur and we all recorded Wingin’ It. Everyone’s kind of down. It’s the last one for a while until the whole Joe thing is over and everyone is ready to get back into it. They’ve created a Joe Murphy Memorial Fund if you want to donate and haven’t done so yet.
I got talked into going with the gang to dinner (not too much arm twisting) to some sushi place. Where of course, I had a hamburger. snowcalla, you’d be so proud of me, I did try a couple bites of something I couldn’t pronounce. It was gross³, but I did try. Then back to Michael’s for more music and head-shaving and memories of Joe time.
I drove through the parking lots of a couple of pool halls on the way home, just in case I’d get a chance to spy on the old man. NO such luck, he’d left a note here at home that he’d gone someplace in Snottsdale tonight instead of the usual places. I just want some kind of proof or facts or final decision fodder or something.

Don’t get me wrong. I love Billibub Baddings and the Case of the Singing Sword. And I love Tee to death. He’s friendly and funny and has a bigger ego than Evo.
So I’m trapped under a sleeping baby 
and I can’t reach the remote and I’m stuck watching two Sabrina, The Teenage Witch reruns.
And right in the middle of one Sabrina enters a detective agency, the color turns to black and white, she’s magically dressed as if in the 20′s, there’s a voice-over calling her a broad, and in the detective’s chair (when it spins around on cue) is a little person. A magical dwarf detective. Dunt-dunt-duuuun.
Dude. Sabrina? Say it isn’t so!

Choking on more technology here. Can’t get the stupid thing to work with my LJ format, though. Copied verbatim and I get an error message. Just my luck.
Hmmm, the same copied chunk works fine on MySpace. Go figure.
I sit here all day on my computer and I still don’t know how people with real lives keep up with all these little programs.
ETA: Wow, it won’t even work as part of this post! It shows up fine in my preview window, but once it IS posted this whole thing is blank, except for the title. WTF?
Oh What Now?

I just got a phone call from Donald Trump, interrupted by Vince McMahon, discussing their upcoming shaving . . . wrestling . . . thing and reminding me to call my cable company if I want to see it.
Do I want to see it?
Do I need a recording on the auto-dialer from hell calling me to remind me to see it?
Do I want to see either of these men at all much less one with a shaved head?
Well, maybe a snapshot of Trump with a shaved head. That would be amusing.
Do I want to sit through all the screaming and posturing that accompanies either of them and a camera?
I’ll let you guess the answers to these questions.
Too funny for words

This is now the main reason I hate bowling. Way beyond the hours I was forced as a child to sit quietly while my parents got slowly drunk during league nights and were too cheap to hire a babysitter. Way beyond the nasty and snide instructions from my mother when I attempted to bowl, versus the diametrically opposed instructions from my father, against the barked comments from my grandfather, etc. And way beyond the nausea and shakes I get when forced to enter a bowling establishment for kid’s birthdays and whatnot.

Just listened to Iain’s watchtower podcast and the best part was his giggling in the background. Cute. Although I like that song – what were the writers of BSG thinking by incorporating an Earth song into their storyline anyway? What, they couldn’t come up with their own music? I’ve been trying to remember and I can’t think of any music from BSG culture. Not a big music society. I guess all that energy we waste on music here went towards technical advances there. But then again, I’ve only been watching this season. Maybe in earlier seasons they actually HAD relaxation time with music.
Let’s see, what else. I’d love to buzz up and see if Joe’s up to visitors today but with notallota gas and no money, that’s too far to drive. Dammit.
Ginnie has late start so there’s a bunch . . . gaggle of girls in her room right now. Giggling.
I feel very disconnected lately. I’m making an effort today to get back into the swing of things and respond to posts and have quasi-conversations with people.
WTF with Sanjaya’s hair last night? Puh-lese. I think he’s sabotaging himself. I only catch parts of this show but by the look on his face when he stayed over Brandon a couple of shows ago, I think he realizes his popularity is not due to his (non-existent) talent. But even he doesn’t want to break the heart of millions of 12-year-old girls, so he won’t just quit. Anyway, I think its a toss-up between LaKisha and Melinda over who is going to win. LaKisha is a different person when she’s singing as opposed to when she’s just talking. Its like some power overtakes her. Melinda, on the other hand, seems to be faking that wide-eyed oh you really like me face of hers.
Finally caught up on my Dresden recordings. I’ll keep watching.
Also caught up on The Riches recordings. Damn fine show. I love this show and its not even Sci-Fi.
NCIS was a rerun.
The Unit was a rerun.
Can’t think of anything else at the mo.
