so don't ask if you don't want to know
My Conspiracy Theory #1
There is a conspiracy in the depilatory community.
There has to be.
Schick Quattro, $9.00 ish for one. What do you get out of that? Two or three shaves?
R – I – P – O – F – F for what is essentially small pieces of plastic and 4 “blades” that probably cost them 12 cents to make.
Most of us must shave something fairly regularly, right? Guy shave their faces, but women have their legs, pits and bikini area to keep hair-free and most of us can’t afford the fancy spa services that provide somewhat longer and deeper hair removal methods. Again, why do these things cost so much?
Hair growth is a million-dollar industry, and chances are they’ve come across various safe methods of removing hair permanently. I never ever want hair in my armpits or on my upper lip, so why can’t I go someplace and pay a reasonable rate to have the hair follicles destroyed there forever? How hard is that to come up with?
Easy peasy. I’ll just betcha more than one little scientific geek somewhere has found a perfect formula and those huge business paid ‘em off. I’ll betcha there’s lots of permanent and safe hair removal formulas hidden in little boxes in the basements of Schick and Gillette.
Its a conspiracy.

LMAO! I agree completely. It IS a complete and total ripoff! We have a method with disposables here. Ry uses them first, shaving 2-3 times, and then they’re too dull for him, but plenty good for legs, pits, etc.

Explain to me why it is that the CHEAP ones slice you to bits and the high priced ones don’t?
I would think it would be the other way around.

This is why I use an electric shaver.
(granted, I know little about their efficiency to maintain a woman’s fine leg skin, so it may be a one-sided comment)
